Visa holders are prohibited
from holding any paid job
in Brazil. |

For
extended stays (a minimum
of 6 months) the same type
of visa can be issued to immediate
family members. Those are,
however, prohibited from engaging
in any paid activity in Brazil. |

First
arrival in Brazil must take
place within 90 days from
the date the visa was issued. |
|
•
|
This visa is good for multiple
entries within the visa's
duration. If necessary, a
visa extension may be issued
by the Federal Police in Brazil,
if requested at least 30 days
prior to the expiration of
the authorized stay (special
requirements apply). |

|
Whenever
the planned stay exceeds 90
days, visitors must register
with the Federal Police in
Brazil within 30 days from
first arrival in the country
(together with the passport,
you must submit the original
visa application form that
will be returned to you by
the Embassy once the visa
is issued). |

| Visa
will be issued on a "laissez-passer"
to nationals of the following
countries: Bhutan, Central
African Republic, Comoros,
Taiwan. |

Brazilian
nationals must enter and leave
Brazil with their Brazilian
passport only. |

Submission
to the Embassy of two
visa application forms
per applicant, properly
filled out (first and second
pages) and duly signed, together
with the following documentation: |

copy
of scholarship documentation
or proof of financial
capability to pay for
the stay in Brazil |
- |
passport
with a minimum remaining
validity of six months
(it must also have at
least 2 blank pages
available for visa stamp) |
- |
two recent 2"x
2" passport-type
photographs of applicant,
showing entire face
(must be front view)
in white background.
Snapshots and computer
pictures are not accepted |
- |
documented proof of
enrollment, legalized
by a notary public in
Brazil, indicating duration
of studies at a Brazilian
educational institution

proof of residence in
the consular
jurisdiction

- |
if applying for an extended-stay
visa to immediate family
members, copy of marriage
certificate, birth certificate,
or other official dependency

if applicant traveled
within the last 90 days
to any of the following
countries: Angola, Bolivia,
Benin, Burkina Faso,
Cameroon, Colombia,
Democratic Republic
of Congo, Ecuador, French
Guiana, Gabon, Ghana,
Gambia, Republic of
Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria,
Peru, Sierra Leone,
Sudan, or Venezuela,
yellow fever vaccination
certificate. Please
note that yellow fever
vaccination is advisable
if applicant's destination
in Brazil includes any
of the following States:

Amazonas, Federal District,
Goiás, Maranhão,
Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso
do Sul, Pará,
Rondônia, Roraima,
and Tocantins |

all-inclusive. When processing
a visa submission, the Embassy
may request additional information/
documentation/interview. |

by the Embassy. Copy
of Brazilian supporting documents
must be notarized by a Cartório
in Brazil. |

Average processing time has
been 3 business days, assuming
all requirements are met. |

VISA APPLICATION BY MAIL:
The Embassy accepts visa submissions
by mail/courier service from
Bahrain, provided the payment
is made at the moment the
application is received. Once
all the requirements have
been met, visas are normally
processed within 3 working
days. |
