Terms and Conditions:
 
 
Tourist visa holders are prohibited to engage in business, work, or academic activities in Brazil.
 
First arrival in Brazil must take place within 90 days from the date the visa was issued.
 
This visa is good for multiple entries within the visa's duration. Please note that even when the validity of the visa exceeds 90 days, authorized stays are for a maximum of 90 days per visit (if necessary, an extension may be obtained with the Federal Police in Brazil if requested prior to the expiration of the authorized stay; special requirements apply).
 
Citizens of some countries do not require a visa to visit Brazil for tourism purposes, provided the trip is strictly for tourism and stay does not exceed 90 days.
Nationals from certain countries require consultation with the proper authority in Brazil prior to the issuing of their visas. In these cases an extra fee of KD 7.500 will apply and processing time is a minimum of 15 days.
Additional documentation is required:
-remaining residence valid for at least 6 months;
-recent statement of account for 3 months or bank guarantee;
-letter from sponsor stating period of present employment, position, salary and visit dates.
Visa will be issued on a "laissez-passer" to nationals of the following countries: Bhutan, Central African Republic, Comoros, Taiwan.
Brazilian nationals must enter and leave Brazil with their Brazilian passport only.

Procedures:
 
 
Submission to the Embassy of one visa application form per applicant, properly filled out (first and second pages) and duly signed (parents must sign application forms for those under 18 years old), together with the following documentation:
 
-
passport with a minimum validity of six months (it must also have at least 2 blank pages available)
-
one recent 2"x 2" passport-type photograph of applicant, showing entire face (must be front view) in white background. Snapshots and computer pictures are not accepted
-
original and photocopy of round trip ticket; or letter signed by travel agency attesting to the acquisition of the ticket; or a letter from sponsor stating: period of present employment, position, salary and visit dates; or recent bank statement of account for 3 months
-
for applicants under 18 years of age not traveling with both parents or legal guardian(s), a letter of consent signed by parents is required
-
for participation in conferences/seminars, or artistic or sports events/competition, a letter from the organisers is required, with detailed information on the event and conditions of attendance
-
if applicant traveled within the last 90 days to any of the following countries: Angola, Bolivia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, French Guiana, Gabon, Ghana, Gambia, Republic of Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Peru, Sierra Leone, Sudan, or Venezuela, yellow fever vaccination certificate. Please note that yellow fever vaccination is advisable if applicant's destination in Brazil includes any of the following States: Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Federal District, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima, and Tocantins.

polio vaccination certificate (only for children between the ages of 3 months and 6 years)

appropriate payments, as applicable.
 
The requirements listed are not all-inclusive. When processing a visa submission, the Embassy may request additional information/ documentation/interview.
 
VISA APPLICATION BY MAIL:
The Embassy accepts visa submissions by mail/courier service from Bahrain, provided the payment is made at the moment the application is received. Once all the requirements have been met, visas are normally processed within 3 working days.
